SheCounts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization focused on providing accessible financial literacy education through workshops, resources, and digital tools. The organization aims to make financial concepts clear and practical, with an emphasis on supporting women and immigrant communities that are often underserved by traditional financial education. Through community partnerships and student-led initiatives, SheCounts works to help individuals build confidence in everyday financial decision-making.
SheCounts began as a response to gaps I noticed in how financial education is taught and accessed. Through my own experiences working with immigrant families and students, I saw how unfamiliar financial systems and limited guidance could make basic financial decisions feel overwhelming. I founded SheCounts to create resources and workshops that explain money in a clear, practical way—focused on real situations people face rather than abstract concepts. What started as a small initiative has grown into a platform for education, outreach, and student involvement, with the goal of making financial literacy more accessible and relevant to the communities we serve.
